Shooting Outside the White House Correspondence Dinner

Sketchy details so far... the shooter was shot and killed immediately outside the ball room in the Hotel Lobby. Trump and all the cabinet members etc are safe. TMZ has a video of the moment the shoots rang out:

Edit- apparently the shooter was not killed, but is in custody

Staged. They knew it was coming. His own press secretary said "shots will be fired." Its amazing how slow Secret service is to get everyone down. A guy jumps in front of trump and its a good 5-10 seconds where everyone on the stage seems to be just sitting there talking still. They all seemed very unconcerned like they knew it was going to happen.

From what I saw and heard live, I don't think it was staged, there were reporters broadcasting live via their phones from inside the room and initially thought what they heard sounded like a tray of dinner plates crashing to the floor as though a server had dropped a tray. At that point the people in room were not aware of what had happened outside the room. With that many people in a packed space, what could be heard could vary greatly from where you were sitting and it looked like a lot of people were unaware of any threat until the Secret Service stormed the room.

Reports were that Trump wanted to continue with the event which was completely stupid and the Secret Service overruled him.

The Secret Service and other law enforcement were heroes... it's a shame that law enforcement were not shown the same respect on and after Jan 6 when they defended the capital against a bunch of criminals who were pardoned by Trump.

Another crazy person who allowed himself to obsessed over Trump's extreme rhetoric.

The FBI's response was quick and effective (as it should be).

Happy to see Trumps response was rational (for him).

I hope Trump will tone down his hatred for Democrats and anyone who does not give him his way.

His often hate posts help to create extreme response by crazy people.

The ones that planned this hoax were so lucky finding a shooter who was a Kamala supporter, No Kings Rally attendee, as well as an Act Blue contributor. And getting that SS agent to put on his vest because his role was to get shot had to take some major convincing.

Imagine the right making multiple attempts to take out Obama, when he was running things.The left would have burned down half the country. This guy should never see the light of day for at least 20 years. I cant believe the SS didn't end his ass.
