Democrats must be tired of winning, because they swept all the key races of 2025.

It may not be enough, but it's a glimmer of hope and that a greater repudiation of Trump is around the corner in 2026.

yes, I see it as a small step that more people are seeing where this country is headed ....

2026 is still a year away by then even more may be able to see that they are loosing democracy under the present MAGA governments priorities and are not better off.. time will tell..

I heard recently that 1/3 of NYCs banks and hedge funds have already left for Miami and Houston, now the rest will leave and NYC will no longer be the business capital of the world. NYC will be just another leftist sh**hole. I am ok with that.

The lack of affordability of just about everything is hitting home for many folks. They see the Republicans are hell bent on not acting to provide relief for people who may lose their healthcare. They see that Trump's priorities do not include the average American and his priorities are what the spineless law makers follow until the wanna be King says differently.

I have seen folks on Facebook who believe that negotiations cannot happen until the government reopens. That's a total lie perpetuated by Mike Johnson, one of many they tell to shift the blame.

Ask any Republican lawmaker, or Trump himself, what plans they have to replace the ACA and/or make it more affordable and they have nothing.

He is going to defund the police & also he will not listen to federal I.C.E agents, also he will make it people will struggle to live cause taxes are too high. So you want socialism? What is cruel is withholding SNAP payments when there are funds available, even after Trump was ordered to do so. What is cruel is not extending the healthcare subsidies when there is no Republican plan to make healthcare more affordable.

Again, the well being of average Americans, especially those struggling with the high cost of everything is the absolute furthest thing from Trump's mind. Lavish Halloween party at Moron-A-Lago, tone deaf.

Democrats were allowed no input into this legislation, none, why would they vote FOR it when it will greatly impact their constituents?

The bigger question is how are Republicans going to justify to their constituents their failure to negotiate something so important.

Trump has suddenly realized that "affordability" is important to people, something he never concerns himself with. He said in an interview on Fox that people are talking about the cost of groceries... he then said "groceries" that's an old fashioned word... what does that even mean. He then went on to claim that groceries are cheaper now than last year.. not true.

He also touted that Wal Mart's prepackaged Thanksgiving Day meal was cheaper than last year... he forgot to mention it contains 6 fewer items and many more "store brands" vs name brands. When a reporter asked him about it, he asked "who are you with" NBC" Oh that's the fake news. He's a moron.
