The U.S. State Department has previously said that no U.S. funds went to the militant group, but a new federal report indicates that some taxpayer money has ended up in the Taliban-controlled central bank of Afghanistan.

After getting the money from the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, the U.N. flies shrink-wrapped $100 bills to the Kabul International Airport. The money arrives on a regular basis, as much as $40 million at a time, according to posts from the Afghan central bank on X, formerly known as Twitter.

“Most of the money that’s going in cash through the U.N. is ultimately coming from U.S. taxpayers,” John Sopko, the inspector general, said in an interview. “It’s going to a terrorist group. The Taliban are a bunch of terrorists.”

40 million a week is funneled to the Taliban. Other terrorist groups are being funded as well through US Aid.

Blu, we the american tax payers have no idea how much waste and actual theft these politicians (from both sides of the aisle) have stolen from us and for how long this theft has been going on. I don’t care what party you run with, as an american tax payer you should be outraged at what they are finding. All the while Americans struggle to live from an atrocious economy and natural disasters. This has the smell of hundreds of millions of dollars in political kick backs and it’s all coming to light, thanks to Mr. Musk. IMO we’ve all been being played and stolen from for years.

I completely agree with you Roots! The Dems have done nothing but scream about how this is being done and not the fact that we are being screwed by these politicians. Is Trump and Musk doing things right? I don't know but I am just glad somebody is looking into this, right way or wrong way we should all be outraged that we as tax payers are getting screwed. Let them keep screaming about how this is happening, the majority of American people are happy this is all coming out and that someone cares enough to audit these government agencies. The Trump/ Musk hatred is far too great in them to see what is happening to Americans.

Be who you are and say what you feel..because those that matter don't mind..and those that mind..don't matter.

This was written in March of 2024,,nothing new from Musk on this...

Blu choose to pick and choose a few paragraphs, but they do not tell the entire story.

I think everyone is in favor of eliminating waste, fraud of tax money.

It can not be done with a chainsaw.

All the programs or grants need to be looked at and audited then changed or stopped if there is proof of abuse, fraud waste.

Musk has no idea what many of the programs cover as evidenced by his back tracking some of his cuts.

Polls show that 6 in 10 Americans are concerned about the way Musk is slashing and burning.

It needs to be done with a wrecking ball, not a dab here and a dab there. This is decades of fraud being unravelled. A whole lot of Democrat kickbacks being unearthed, which is why the pushback. So keep it going and let them keep singing their old hippie songs so we can laugh at them.
