In January, Tanisha Edmonds was the Chief Diversity Officer at the CFTC, a Federal Agency.
Her title was just changed to “Chief Human Capital Officer” to get around Trump’s DEI ban.
The CFTC is trying to rebrand DEI to circumvent Trump’s EO. A first grader could have figured out they would try these kinds of juvenile tactics. A few nice fines may be in order here.Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) once called the filibuster a "cherished relic" of segregation.
Of course you would see something sketchy in that.
That title is very common in the Human Resource field and encompasses much more than DEI. I'm sure you rather she be fired just to punish her for doing her job in the past. It's not like this Federal agency is going be able to secretly get some DEI funding by changing her title.
