Just curious because every time I ask this on faceplace I have never gotten an answer.

What would trump have to do to make you turn away from him? Does he have to deport your best friend? Let his billionaire boys club steal all your cash? Shoot your favorite person right in front of you? I am just curious what it will take for people to stop defending the things he is doing that are 100% illegal. There has to be a limit right? Otherwise you are completely in a cult and might as well drink his gold plated trump-aid. I am not looking for a fight or a debate on how bad biden was or how bad harris would have been. Just an honest assessment of the man himself.

Why are you content to have the buying of influence and all the other corrupt activities taking place with American tax dollars?

Why are you content in knowing that hurricane victims were neglected and left to live in tents freezing through a harsh winter, when as being revealed to the American public, billions of dollars have been diverted to foreign programs non related to the interests of our own Americans?

Sorry, I did not address the hurricane victims. Trump has done the same thing. Do you not remember him tossing people in Puerto Rico (which is a territory of the US) paper towels thinking that was all they needed? He checks the voting numbers (and has already stated he will withhold aid to areas that did not vote for him) before saying he will help out.

I ask this way because I know many of you are trump all the way. Many of us wonder because I would never throw myself so far towards any one person that they could do NO wrong. Biden had good and bad points. Yes he was a bit out of it at times but he would at least listen to his advisors for better or worse. Trump does whatever trump wants no matter what anyone else advises him to do. He is not the smartest man in the room, he is just the biggest bully.

You all criticized Biden for pardoning his son and a others knowing that they were 100% going to be trump targets. Trump did the same thing pardoning family members. And now with pardoning EVERY SINGLE Jan 6 rioters, including people that were prepared to do great harm to others? Have you seen how many are being re-arrested for violent crimes and sexual assault for things that happened either before they were jailed or after they got out?

Also, how is he the president for Christian values? He cheated on each wife with the next one. Between him and musk they have piles of children with several different wives and those are just the kids we are aware of.

He makes fun of disabled people. He thinks everyone is beneath him. That is not a Christian value that I ever learned. Every religion says you should treat others the way you want to be treated. None of them say you should ignore the poor people or anyone different from yourself. If there is a god, it doesnt really matter what name you call him or how you worship.

Trump pardoned his son in laws father, calling that family is a stretch, but ok. Biden pardoned damn near his whole crime family. Did you worry about Christian values with Slick Willie, or even JFK? Both sides have put that pork in the bills. It was not just one side. There is a lot of stuff in there that can be cut but now they are stopping medical trials and sending food and vaccines to places that need it. 100% get rid of the crap that should not be in the budget, but there are things we should help with. Now you have china stepping in to fill the gaps. Yeah, great, have someone else pay the bill but helping with food and medicine also creates good will with these other places. Its not always about the money.

You call me a hate filled woman but you do not know me. I work hard, I take care of my family. I help out people in need. I don't go around trashing anyone and everyone on a fairly anonymous board. workoutgirl1- although not directly, I think you got your answer -- for the true MAGA Republicans there is nothing Trump could do that would cause them to turn away from him.

If we are talking about the whole DOGE initiative, MAGA has created the narrative that Democrats are opposed to it because it's exposing corruption and kickbacks etc and it's all the fault of Democrats.

The right thing to do is to have independent auditors, not partisan ones look at anything suspect.

The wrong thing to do is to have an unelected billionaire, who spent close to 300 million dollars to elect Trump, raid these agencies with his handpicked twenty year olds. Fauci served as the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) and the Chief Medical Advisor to the President for seven different administrations. He was appointed by Ronald Reagan. Now, if they sent Fauci in to government agencies to look for cost cutting measures and fraud, I'd have a problem with that.

First of all it's USAID and it's overall focus is alleviating poverty, combating hunger, providing shelter, fighting disease, expanding education, and promoting good governance around the world. All things that Trump doesn't like and doesn't want to spend any money on. No surprise.

It's a tiny portion of the overall budget, but the funds have been appropriated and he doesn't like it. Is this savings going to be used to bring down everyday prices? Don't think so.

Ok King Trump, then moving forward, fight to not appropriate any money towards these causes. It's not your decision to eliminate what's already been approved.

Apples to Oranges.... and that's a totally illogical comparison. I had never heard of USDS and what I've read it didn't appear that it was controversial at all. I also didn't see anything that indicated the employees would have access to American's personal information. It looked like the goal was to update, simplify and make government websites and portals more user friendly.

I fail to see the similarities other than the acronym, which by the way, stand for two unrelated missions.

Why, specifically, was Fauci a bad choice. He was the expert, the voice of reason, and until Trump started bashing him, all of America including MAGA was comforted to know he was as on top of things as he could be.

Maybe he was overshadowing fragile Trump? Maybe Fauci didn't hesitate to contradict Trump on important issues.

At one point Trump made the statement that "99% of Covid cases were totally harmless". Totally untrue. Someone had told Trump that the general mortality rate was 1% so he made the leap that everything else was no big deal.

So, backup your statement, why was Fauci a bad choice?

I would counter that a research scientist with an MD from Cornell who completed his internship and residency, who is an expert in infectious diseases,who spent his entire career at NIH would be far and away more qualified to lead the country through Covid vs. family doctor or any practicing physician.
