Maybe he was overshadowing fragile Trump? Maybe Fauci didn't hesitate to contradict Trump on important issues.
At one point Trump made the statement that "99% of Covid cases were totally harmless". Totally untrue. Someone had told Trump that the general mortality rate was 1% so he made the leap that everything else was no big deal.
So, backup your statement, why was Fauci a bad choice?
