If you can't take the heat, you know the rest GC administration

These people need a big dose of their own medicine or at the very least should take their own advice. I have never read so much whining and bitching about other people whining and bitching in my life. Call it jaded or just plain tired of the part they play in local government, a much thicker skin seems to be in desperate shortage with every one of them these days. I would certainly like to think that the jaded factor isn't coming into play with the mayor as he hasn't quite completed one single term yet.
One of them is tooting his own horn bragging about his street was one of the last streets to be plowed, unlike some assumptions being made on facebook that his street was probably the first. Then another one jumps in to add that the council members never request their streets being resurfaced because they don't want to subject themselves to one more critic. These people love to hate facebook, but only when it allows subjects to surface that opens them up to any criticism. Then on the flip side they absolutely love facebook to pat each other on the back or have a good ole boys tug fest to pump each other up.
The same ole names of the brown-nosing ass kissers come racing to these types of comments from these people day after day and time after time to the point they know no embarrassment. These names saying the same atta boy, good job sentiments are as predictable as the sunrise. Jane P., Christa H., Jamie S., Brandi I., Chris H., Shelly P., and a few others. But one name that you're not seeing a lot of as of late is one, well known and not for good reasons, and possibly the biggest brown-noser of them all, council woman. The ex-podcaster whose mouth and opinions turned the council upside down. Something, or more like someone sure shut her mouth and told her to lay low until the heat reduces to a simmer. But too little too late, that damage was done, and the entire council continues to pay for those sins until she either walks away or is pushed out.
Nobody is claiming that running a city is an easy job. But all of these people knew what they were signing up for when they turned in their paperwork to get on a ballot. They all can't now paint themselves as victims now. It's their job to make the hard decisions and live with the consequences or at the very least, learn from them.

Yeah even on a small town like ours, one has to have thick skin and while you can ignore the verbiage of the poorly educated on those Facebook sites, you still have to accept their thoughts.
This is an election year so perhaps those people should just ignore Facebook for a few months.
What is bothersome to me is the fact that the people who tried to run and got booted from contention didn’t have the smarts to fill out the forms. Can it be that hard to do?
O mean the trans lady made several errors but I hear she’s gone away quietly so was she really interested?
The other woman who was on the news made similar errors and she’s a realtor? You would think she would be very attentive to details. Where did she come from? I’ve never seen a sign of a home she’s selling.
Parkinson will be unopposed so we really have no other choice.
As for the name calling and hurt feelings? I don’t think we’ve seen the iceberg tip yet. Should be fun.CHIEFS THREE-PEAT

I just asked Mrs. O if she sees the. Alderwoman posting and she said the woman has two Facebook pages and uses an administrator to post items. Assuming we are talking about the one who insulted a business operator?CHIEFS THREE-PEAT

Until you serve for the city in some official capacity or the people you have no idea what you have to put up with. You wouldn't believe the calls and complaints and the constant griping these people have to deal with,,,,and I'm sorry but that's not in their list of duties! To say you can't please everybody all the time is a gross understatement. And yea,,,, incase you didn't read comments on some of these groups they really do think that elected people get special treatment like cleared streets and driveways, or cheaper utility bills and what ever other ridiculous silly ideas they have in their heads. Its nobodies faults but their own these people who think getting elected mayor and doing this job is easy,,,,especially if you can't fill out the paper work to get on a ballot.
Being part of a mean group or click doesn't guarantee you'll get your way and come out on top. Nobody is even listening to this school yard nonsense anymore. It's time to be adults and just get along and work for a better city. It's time to move on,,,,,way past time!

I think you make some great points. If answering calls from people who don’t understand that this wasn’t a normal event of snow means he would get his street done first, I’m sure Parkinson would keep his street blocked.
I don’t understand the ones who gripe about plows pushing snow back on their driveway entrance. Where should they put it? I’ll gladly use my snow blower on a twenty foot wide patch than not being able to get down my street. Ok actually my so does mine but you get the point.
This snow won’t be here forever. Eventually those same complainers will find something new to gripe about. It’s election season and it’s clear people like the Benda woman have minions working for them. Upsets Mrs. o but it is what it is.
I wish those people understood that the first amendment is there to protect their free speech, but it can’t protect them from sounding stupid.
And to the street crews, if I were you, I’d find the addresses of the big time whiners and make sure theirs are the last streets plowed..CHIEFS THREE-PEAT
