Hunter was the bag man for the Biden crime family’s business of shaking down foreign oligarchs for cash in exchange for government favors. Of course, he pardoned him, and had he won he still would have pardoned him, just maybe a little bit further down the road. After all it's not exactly though Hunter doesn't have the goods on his Demented daddy.

I am not even disappointed by this, really, after tomorrow I hope its never brought up again.

Trump has vowed to come after his political enemies and that includes anyone related to Biden...probably anyone who didn't believe the 2020 election was stolen from him. He's trying to slot only cabinet folks and now the FBI with loyalists.

I think if Biden were reelected he wouldn't have gone back on his word. Who cares now if Republicans are horrified by this. Trump is a felon, a liar, and we'll see how his tariffs "fixes" the economy.

So the logic from Biden is as follows:

The charges and convictions of his son in the weapons cases and tax cases were politically motivated so he pardoned his son to protect him from these politically motivated cases. OK. Let’s accept that for the sake of argument.

How does that explain pardoning him in a blanket fashion for the last 10 years for any crime he might have committed regarding the laptop, etc. How exactly does that make sense? There are no current cases pending and no ability to conclude any improper political motivation for charges and cases that don’t yet exist.

What Biden is really saying is I know my son is guilty of crimes he’s not yet been charged and I want to deter anyone looking into them any further as I won’t like what they find. And if they do find it, or better yet, they already have it but haven’t prosecuted him, Biden is getting out in front of it and putting an end to it.

Can’t make this stuff up!! The Democrats can no longer say Trump is the threat to Democracy, that’s for sure. Biden just hit it out of the park.

As for the pardon, I have to say with all due respect, if anyone EVER believed Biden wouldn't pardon his son, probably believed in the "grab their guns" theory. It was never going to happen.

Biden will be history in 50 days. He's done. The democrats in Congress will do their best to run interference for him in the meantime under the control of Pelosi and Obama.

Trump should make sure his Secret Service detail is well vetted and that they are much more on their toes than the crew in Pennsylvania. He's a target now more than ever and he should use caution.

They very much want to grab guns and hacks like Pritzker has already begun chipping away at doing just that in this wretched state. A recent court ruling may have stalled some of his efforts recently, but the idea has not and will not die. Hitlery wanted to sue gun manufacturers and had she won she would have made inroads in doing just that. The people in Australia thought their gun rights were undeniable also, but they found out the hard way that wasn't the case so I'm not sure why some people insist the same damn thing can't happen here. There is no connection between Biden pardoning his son and the Democrats wanting to severely limit gun rights. One of those two may be an easier task, but both are very doable.

I'm not sure if I can be convinced that the Presidential pardon should be allowed. Pardoning a conviction is one thing, but pardoning people for anything they might have ever done is just not right. Might as well give the President (our protector) the power to pardon people for anything that they will do in the future. (Watch yourself Pres. elect Trump).

Spruce - Trump did pardon his daughter's father-in-law, Jarod Kushner's father after he plead guilty to 18 counts of tax evasion and witness tampering.

He's now nominated this man to be the U.S. Ambassador to France.

You are correct, he said many times he would not pardon Hunter and then went back on his word. I personally think he was motivated by Trumps mission to come after the Biden family if he were elected. He went back on his word, if you want to call that a lie, I won't argue that.

That was my second point... if you want to compare Trump and Biden on the number of lies they have told, there would be no competition.

I think with election of Trump, voters decided that politicians ARE above the law as are those that are related to them or loyal to them or have something on them. Sad, but true.

Let's face it. We knew one way or another, Hunter was going to be pardoned.

I think the original plan was to have Kamala do it if she won. However, as we all know, she fumbled the ball inside the "red zone", no pun intended, but it is football season.

The second potential was a deal to be struck whereby Trump would pardon Hunter if and only if Biden pardoned Trump before January 20.

And finally, as a fire stop, we had to know that no father, even the father of a drug and alcohol addicted schmuck, would not take the opportunity to save that son. I would.

What does it matter now? Hunter may screw up again and if not, let Sleepy Joe ride off into the sunset.

Joe, you have a very selective memory and choose to believe only what you want to believe. Democrats never attack Trump over policy? You aren't paying attention. My beliefs and values, love for this country and disdain for pathological liars, election deniers, egomaniacs have not changed because Trump was elected.

His poor judgement at nominating some of his cabinet members have not gone unnoticed by anyone.

We'll have to wait and see how his "policies" work out. Will his supporters be happy with only deporting criminals (which I think most Dems support) or are they expecting that every illegal to be gone with in a short amount of time?

Will his tariffs quickly bring prices down and make everything more affordable? Or will prices increase on many items because the importers will pass the cost along?

He should have already ended the war in Ukraine. If he does as promised, will the US abandon our ally and allow Putin to take over?

Trump won, the ball is in his court. I suspect any and all major missteps will be blamed on someone else, yet he'll take credit for the good which he may not have had any effect on.

You love to minimize his innumerable faults by saying he is arrogant and obnoxious and he sends out "mean tweets"... no one is falling for that crap.

I agree with you 100% on all your points.
Trump's policies will play out in time. He will surround himself with those who are loyal to him. Trump could care less about the American people. It is all about him.

Time will tell us all how happy the people who elected him will be in a year or two. Prepare for what will surly be a cold war with the Trump tariffs.

No matter who he would have picked the Democrat's job was going to be to Kavanaugh them which they are trying to do with Hegseth now by playing the unnamed sources game. Trump should have known this and if he didn't then I would have to say he's pretty stupid. Picking people to be on the inside was never a strong suit fo his, but this time I like his picks much better than his first go around.

Biden kept many of Trump's tariffs and even added a few of his own, I'm trying to remember all the Democrat outrage over that at the time, I may have missed it.

Putin didn't do any invading when Trump was 45, I'm sure you remember that, but he sure did under Obama and Biden. Coincidence, maybe, we shall see how that plays out.

Any Democrat president with 53 Senators would get an automatic 53 yes votes with every selection, Republicans have never been that way, which to me is a serious flaw. My guess now is that they will run Pete Hegseth off and then seek out someone else to smear. At this point, it's about all the Democrats have and they will use their media and un-named sources to intimidate and take down as many of Trump's choices as they can. Had Kamala won and had 53 senators none of this would be going on. Several lame both sides Republicans would rubber-stamp every one of her picks, not that they could stop them to begin with.

It is going to be like this for 4 years just like it was the last time. The Democrats care less than zero about the country, what they care about is themselves. Trump could be playing golf every day, but instead, he chose this chaos. It shows a lot of guts and a strong will, but I must admit, I'm not sure how smart it is. How many people would have survived what he has been through??? Very damn few. BTW, I still think the deep state has one more assassination attempt in them before 1/20 and I'm pretty sure I am not alone with that thought. Im sure Trump and his team are aware. It would be devastating to the country but I'm sure the Democrats after a day or two would get right back to work attacking Hitler Junior.
