I've never listened or watched these two, but apparently this turn of events has stirred up a lot of people for different reasons.
One thing I read which makes sense is that they view the importance of access to Trump whether they are in agreement with him or not. If the only media access to Trump is Fox News and hand picked Trump friendly media it's difficult to weed out misinformation.
It's probably a smart move on their part, the success of their show may depend on what type of access they have to Trump.
Trump is so egotistical that I'll bet even his worst enemy could meet with him, complement him, put him on a pedestal, tell him how brilliant he is, and they would suddenly be his best friend and trusted confidant. This fact is not lost on our foreign advisories.

Reading between the lines, Joe and Mika, are probably the most highly-paid MSNBC hosts. They know that MSNBC ratings have tanked because they have demonized Trump and lied to the American people about Joe Biden's mental health. They are likely on the list of bygones that MSNBC will jettison. So they are groveling to the Master in hopes that it will help them land a new overpaid talking head job. Damn, Tim Walz really really really wants to be a U.S. Senator pretty badly.

Their colleagues are reportedly all upset. Probably a ratings boost for that show, but they still had to eat a little humble pie to go there.
And now the left side media knows Trump won't back away from them. If I was him, anytime I met with them, I would have my own cameras taping it at the same time so he had proof of what was said.
