Harris could challenge the results. I doubt that Joe cares one way or the other now. I actually talked to a couple today who are democrats but are so upset about the way Joe was treated that they said they would vote for Trump. Now that's ignorance at its' finest.

Trump did not just question the election results. He tried to force Pence to not certify them. Planted false electors made a phone call to attempt to get Georgia to "find votes" Filled lawsuits, which he lost. He is so delusional he still will not admit that there was no election fraud. He called his followers to Washington to "Stop the Steel" when there was no steal.

If all that is an "official act" of a President then he would be correct. Two Grand Juries (who saw all the evidence) say he should be charged with crimes. I will stick with the law. He is not above the rule of law.

I see there's going to be a fund raiser at one of Trump's golf resorts for the Jan 6 rioters. This is not the first one held at a Trump property and it's to help pay their legal expenses. Trump is the invited guest speaker. Of course, he will also pardon all of them if he wins in November.

It's backward thinking for sure. I remember when Gore challenged the election in 2000 and the whole thing dragged on for weeks. Mike Pence and Mitt Romney, respectfully from the same mold and both paired with slightly smaller than normal gonads, that’s all. Truthfully, they would, “Ring the bell” early on.

Pence’s campaign never got traction .. pretty much shows you how much adoration he obtained from his licking the hands of Nancy and Chuckie.

Mitt is insignificant as a Republican representative for the Party because he is still waiting for some thrown out day old gravy Obama promised him.

If Trump had given us the careless, lackadaisical, dangerous 4 year term that we have endured from this current nightmare, I damn sure wouldn’t be promoting his rump again or his endorsements.

This is yet another reason to defeat Trump. To think that a President would pardon folks who tried to overthrow the government and stop a peaceful transition of power, people who were rightfully found guilty of numerous crimes, does not seem possible. He believes is above the law and that the people who support him are above it also.

Calling people to come to Washington to "stop the Steal" is not a request for recertification. You can play stupid all you want and keep your head filled with delusion. Facts are facts. Trump is a criminal and should be held to rule of law.

Blue, the people who attacked the capital on Jan 6th are lucky more of them weren't killed. Personally, the National Guard should have been called in and told to open fire once the walls were breached.

That being said, the same should have been applied to the rioters and looters in Portland, Minneapolis and other cities during the riots after George Floyed was murdered.

Protest my ass. They were attacks on the country and should have been stopped with military force.

What happened to Babbit is why the woman who only got 5 years should count her blessings. Babbit's shooting was justified, I feel sorry for her family, but she made the choice to climb through that broken window.

Would a liquor store owner be justified in shooting a thug that had busted out his store window and was climbing through with a mob behind him.

Ashli Babbit was climbing through a barricaded door. She knew she was breaking the law. She was shot for breaking the law.
Law enforcement do not have to put their self in danger to check if a person is armed when said person has zero respect for law. She caused her own death by her actions that day.

I have no idea what type of training he had, but he had a duty to protect innocent people inside the capitol and the capitol itself. He stopped her in her tracks and deterred the rest of the mob from moving forward. Job well done.

The DOJ investigated the shooting of Babbit and determined the shooting was lawful and within Department Policy. 140 Police Officers were assaulted during the invasion.

Pelosi turned down calls for additional police. I saw video where it looked like security was giving guided tours, video the Democrats did not want released oddly enough. I've seen homecomings with more violence.

That being said, the police officers who were there should have been allowed to open fire on the rioters. Twenty bucks says the would have peed themselves and run like cowards. As far as I'm concerned, this was an attack on the capitol by a mob and should have been dealt with as such.

I do think Trump is to blame because he is the one who called them to Washing with his "Stop the Steal" message when he knew there was no steal. Also he did nothing for hours to call that mob off. Even his own daughter asked to call them off.

I know the right wants to try to spin the blame to Nancy Pelosi. Pelosi did not have the power to call in the National Guard.

Congress also knew those morons were coming that day. Pelosi did have the power to fully implement the capitol police to man the building accordingly and to ask for additional help.

This will never excuse what these terrorist did that day but I will always wonder why the police did not use more aggressive tactics to repel the invaders. They would have been within their rights just as you and I would be to use arms against illegal entry at our homes.

Because they wanted the issue, which is why the FBI infiltrated the crowd and ramped them up. Even so it was nothing close to the day after day week after week summer of love violence with millions of dollars of property damage that was virtually ignored.
