Actually when the park cut down the ones that border the outfield of the #6 diamond, I did call and question it and found the trees taken were diseased. I’m not sure what dugout you speak of because I believe only two fields actually have dugouts with roofs.
The trees taken down in front of Coolidge last year were taken to make bus parking and they were not replaced.
And admittedly regarding your comment about people griping because they don’t like someone, you’re right. I don’t like outsiders making decisions that impact our town and it’s appearance. That being said, these trees were taken to make way for a three sided fence to surround the Fehling road field. Not much security in a three sided fence, just lots of money.
