And a warning sign for all democrats in southern Illinois, especially in our little neck of the woods. People who sing the praises of the local democrat politicians, rubbing elbows with them at mixers and fundraisers do so to save face and to not out themselves for their true beliefs.
Then they go to the polls and carefully watch over their shoulders as they blacken the circle for republicans. These closet republicans have spoken at the ballot box, and they are saying with every stroke of the pen, don't get too comfortable and don't take your elected position for granted, as easily as we put you there, we will just as easily remove and replace you.
There are several shocked locals tonight that never for one minute thought the morning light would look far differently as they prepare for their new chapters in life, not when they thought they had the backing and support of all the people, especially after having the very public backing or support of local mayors and other elected officials. This is not to say these people did not do a fine job, but it is to say people do not agree with this democrat ideology as a whole and will not stick with this party as the economy continues to tank and criminals are allowed to walk free.
