The disconnect is that you believe the government is efficient enough to actually pull that off.
I believe our government is comprised mostly of bumbling fools like every other strata of society, profession or industry.
If politicians were actually good at a real job, they wouldn’t be in government.
Also - what is the benefit of this alleged chipping (which is absolutely not occurring nor will it occur)?
