I don't like them one bit and think they should be outlawed pure and simple.
One might also opine that the taxes are too high to begin with. As an example when one gets an abatement every body else gets taxed more meaning the next project says they will have to pay more than they should to cover the other one's abatement meaning they demand an abatement as well. I find it difficult to believe that Amazon deserves tax abatement's but the politicians, on both sides of the aisle, think they do while I do not.
Eliminate them all is my thoughts...but I know that will never happen. After all tax abatement's are often the way the politicos secure campaign contributions.
