Because people don't read or care. Let me give you an example.
I was recently at a retail store and saw one of the managers get into a white Jeep Cherokee. I went over and told her that she was driving the Elizabeth Warren model of Jeep. She looked at me with a puzzled look and asked what I was talking about. I told her that her Jeep is white on the outside but says its a Cherokee. Her reply was' "who is Elizabeth Warren?" This one situation told me a lot of why we are in the mess we are in. Here is an intelligent personable person that is responsible and hard working enough to be promoted into a managerial position with a national company yet does not know who is in the running for President. That told me a lot right then and there...people just don't concern them self with the political issues of our Country and if they vote do it based upon emotional slogans on election day. NOw there is the free stuff army types too but that's a whole different story...
