People need to recognize that those scans are covered at no cost. The doctors I have dealt with told me that the biggest issue with lung cancer is that many rely on chest xrays for a diagnosis to the next step. However, from what I was told, a chest xray doesn't really disclose a tumor until it is the size of an apple or an orange. For once jump down from your liberal high horse and spread the word on that scan. One person on this board may have been a lot better with annual scans before they got to stage 4. Early detection is the key...and most insurances, meaning those that work and pay taxes, are covered
