I think he still handled it like the classless lout that he's always been. He made his speech a political grandstanding event and took every effort to slam his predecessor.
I know you want me to praise the guy and if this little show of force was the best thing for our interests, then I am for the best interests of our country.
He's as responsible for the death of Sulimani (I don't know that I spelled that correctly) as Obama is for the death of Bin Laden. It's very true that neither one of them were out there doing the actual operations. But we're selective in whom we will grandstand and as we laud them generously, we are also selective in whom we bash and bash generously.
Trump is a classless turd, and he proves it daily with no help whatsoever from anyone else.

It seemed to me on September 11, 2001.... I woke up in the morning, relatively unsure who we were at war with....and then fell asleep, what little sleep I likely got...knowing that maybe I could still be drafted into selective service.
I suppose I didn't share the fears of prior generations...but it did cross my mind.
What's my point?
On 9/11/2001, we never really had the cause of what provoked those attacks. It wasn't a retaliation SOON after something happened. It was more of something masterfully executed with careful planning over time. (I apologize to the word masterful, because of the assclowns who did it.) But still, it was carefully engineered with intricate planning and such deceptive simplicity that changed the world to a point of no turning back.
So the bloviating idiot can flap his jaws all day long and celebrate that Iran's little temper tantrum really did no harm...and that we prevailed once more.
But never forget what happened on that day when we weren't looking. These people who hate us, don't just wait for a fight to be picked and battle until someone waves a white flag.
It's not like the fights on the schoolyard, where one wins, one wears a nice little badge of shame...but they shake hands and maybe even become friends. So even if we were the victors....good, Hip, hip Hooray! But for this idiot to act like he just won world war three... He has no idea..
