    Like the 1950s, 3D had a brief resurgence in the 2000s/2010s.

    It costs the movie studios more to produce films in 3D, cutting into their profitability.

    Their simply aren’t as many 3D films produced as there were ten years ago. Netflix had a 3D category at one point - they also no longer do.

    Despite what people who don’t actually look at numbers believe, the theater downtown does fine.

    If we support it, it will live.

    If we don’t, it will die.

    It’s a fine theater.

    It’s as simple as that. No politics involved.
