About half the players in the HOF should not really be and i count Simmons as one of them. But since so many others that dont belong are in, Simmons should be also. An old timer once told me the HOF should consist of only the best of the best, not the good or even the really good. For an example, he said Johnny Bench was borderline and that Ozzie Smith was not a Hall Of Famer. Hitting .250 and doing backflips isnt enough. He claimed if Ozzie is a HOF player Omar Vizquel should have had his own wing. Of course he thought neither belonged. I actually think he is right, but that battle was lost long ago when Kirby Puckett was somehow admitted into the HOF. Albert Belle was twice the player that Puckett was and because he was a jerk he cant get in.
