    Offseason MLB Rumors. Archived Message

Rumors are just that rumors, but if the Reds land one more starting pitcher and the rumors of them wanting to deal for Lindor are true, The Brewers, Cardinals and Cubs may all be looking up at the Reds in the 2020 season. The Dodgers are said to be lookin hard at Cole, Strassberg, and Rendon so they clearly mean business. Im hearing Wade Miley is on the Cardinals list and possibly Cole Hamels, but that isnt going to get it done especially since Ozuna is bolting. The Pirates are the Pirates and they wont do much but these other teams other than the Reds better get busy if they have any plans to make the playoffs. St. Louis needs an outfielder and a number 2 pitcher at the very least to be major players next season. For the central the only team i see for now with the arrow pointing up is the Reds.
If they stand pat or make only cosmetic changes it wont be Trumps fault it will be the fault of the Cardinals front office. The same goes for the Cubs and Brewers, standing pat isnt going to get it done. These are all good teams, but none of them are close to being great teams. Im sure they wont be favored but right now i like the Reds to take the central. Dont laugh, stranger things have happened.
