Trump came out of these "hearsaying" just as he went in. Full GOP support and full Dem opposition. That spells total failure when it goes to the Senate.
The Senators (even gutless Romney) will be inspired by their brothers and sisters in the House and this thing will be over.
Come December 9th, the wrath of hell is coming down on the FBI, James Comey and more than likely good old Barack. If he kept his hands clean, more power to him. He was done anyway so why get dirty for Hillary. Biden on the other hand? It's coming folks.
