I can't say that I mind a Mini Mart, I'm just not excited about another one coming in. Another Denny's, can you imagine? haha! I would have rather looked at the empty lot a bit longer hoping a decent investor would have built something a bit more desirable than more of what we already have.
I hope it doesn't become another hang out, like the place across the street. That place is nasty and needs cleaned up and I can see where they damn sure didn't make good neighbors for Big T's.
I remember T's owners and employees being concerned for their safety and the safety of their customers. That whole old shopping center is an eye sore, it's dark and mostly deserted, and no place I would want to be walking to my car after dark for sure.
I had no idea that Big T's wanted to move up the hill. I wonder how their in house kitchen brawls and arguments will be received by those in E'Ville. Picking up a to go order at this location, was like walking into a bad SNL skit, the wife screaming and slinging expletives, not giving a single sh*t who or what was within an ear shot. The entire kitchen would be in a full blown screaming match and the employee working the front counter would just try to ignore it and act as if it wasn't happening.
Even tho, I still hated to see them close, hahaha! The burgers were good and the pick up process was to say the least, entertaining!
