    Goni Michaeloff, 88, of Granite City, Illinois passed away at 6:01 p.m. on Tuesday, September 24, 2019 at Fountain View
    Manor in Granite City.

    She was born October 1, 2019 in Macedonia, the daughter of the late Costa and Tsana (Kalemoff) Michaeloff.

    She retired from Granite City School District after many years of dedicated service as an educator and principal. She had served as principal and taught at
    Marshall School, taught at both Granite City High School North and South, University of Missouri, S.W.I.C. and S.I.U.E. She had also served as a grant writer
    with the Granite City School Board for several years. She had started her higher education from William Woods College in Fulton, Missouri and later
    received her Bachelor and Master’s Degree from the University of Illinois and her PhD from Louisiana State University.
    She was a faithful member of Sts. Cyril and Methody Orthodox Church in Granite City and had volunteered at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Granite City. She
    enjoyed her visits to Chicago, enjoyed attending the theatre and opera and going to the Shakespeare Festival in Stratford, Ontario in Canada.

    She is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Constantine and Patricia Michaeloff of Granite City; many cousins; other extended family and friends.

    In celebration of her life, a visitation will be held at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City on Sunday, September 29, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. until
    time of a Panikhida Service at 7:00 p.m. A Liturgical Funeral Service will be held at Sts. Cyril and Methody Orthodox Church in Granite City on Monday,
    September 30, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Andrew Moulton officiating.

    Burial will follow at Sunset Hill Memorial Estates in Glen Carbon.

    Memorials may be made to Sts. Cyril and Methody Orthodox Church, Alzheimer’s Association or to the Granite City Library and may be accepted at the
    funeral home.
