Chris, thats just it, losing them can be so devastating. When i lost my dog Labarka 8 years ago, it about did me in. I couldnt even say the words, that he had died, i was a train wreck for months. Everyone encouraged me to get another dog and i eventually relented and got Nitro and later on Rusty. They literally run the house, and i dont even mind. Sorry you lost your Golden Chris, i really think it takes another dog lover to understand. They really do become very valuable members of a family if given that chance.
