I hate to go against the iconic Belleville News Democrat, but the only swinging this state has in its future is to swing faster and further into the abyss. The Illinois Republicans for whatever reason are feeling optimistic, maybe its the weed. Whether or not we can hold the lunatic leftists out in 2020 is undetermined, but its just a matter of time before the USA becomes the USSA. The left gets sicker every day and the right appeases them more every day, the end result will not be good. Look at the bright side, at least the Blues won the Stanley Cup before the bottom dropped out completely.
