If he called Dayton, "Toledo" hes at least doing better than Biden because Biden couldnt get the state right even.
Universal background checks would soon be found lacking which would lead to the next feel good useless measure. Obama was around 8 years why didnt he do this for you OM if that is such a glorious idea? Mandatory sentencing on any and all gun crimes would at least get the ones doing the dastardly deeds off the streets. I dont see anyone going,"You know, id love to go shoot up the church but i cant because i havent got my universal background check yet," More likely the case is that they go buy what they want on the black market or they get mom or dads out of the closet like the Sandy Hook guy did. We have three day waiting periods in place now and background checks, adding yet another one would do nothing but create more gubment public sector busy work jobs. We have hundreds of gun laws already, what we need is to enforce those first before we make new ones. If someone robs a store with a gun he should never see the light of day ever again. Deal with the ones actually committing the crimes and see if that works, before you concern yourself over whether Miss Jones can handle that new shotgun she just bought.
