I think its out there the whole story about how Gloria became the teams battle song. It started in a bar somewhere in Canada at a private arty many of the Blues had attended. I never was a big fan of that song either, but I have to admit it does have some kind of celebratory mystique about it. I know the team has grown to love it, and the whole area seems to have also. Brannigan died sadly of a brain tumor I think, but her ex boy friend has made the Blues his team ever since the Leafs were eliminated.
I also agree with you about the Boston area, but I do like both Brady and Belichick for reasons ill not go into at this time.
Once they eat the Jets, I told my brother, they have exceeded my expectations now, I dont care if they win another game. This team wont be an easy put for anyone, because they seem to have learned to play together minus the cliques of the past. Berube seems to be a players coach, but I doubt he put up with a whole lot of petty BS. Binnington has been a beast, and just think last season he was loaned out to the Bruins minor league team for a time. That boy means business and wats to show evryone whats what. Im not sure they will win, but im more than willing to listen to Gloria at full blast a little longer, after all my mom is named Gloria.
Remember the UCLA Bruins, it looks like a baby bear, who know...
