Walter... It may be better not to sling around Bible verses.
Just about everything can be molded and fashioned to support one's point of view, but I think Mr. Schlafly has hit a new extreme that is alarming to me... I don't know about you.
People already cherry pick Bible verse...but for someone to re-write it to have more of a conservative slant?
If someone is truly Biblical and truly living out its teachings...... I would say that both liberals and conservatives should be pissed off at that person.
But to re-write it because of a liberal bias means that Mr. Schlafly is a conservative first and a Christian last and is trying to pull the message of Christianity to fit a little more neatly in his box.
No - Christianity should never be molded to fit into any human beings box...but should raise us to something better than the Earth's =ism's.
But it's like programmed in your brain 'oh have to find that counterweight to blame the left...' and why your arguments are taken with a grain of salt, even by decent conservatives.
