No, if you look at how much your bill is. At&t gives ESPN $9.31 per subscriber of your bill, while just $0.33 goes to your local stations. So if you have 1million subscribers to ESPN gets from At&T $9,310,000 & that is from every person who has that channel in there plans. Let's say this for everyone who has Weather Channel that is own by Comcast & the price is $0.65 per subscriber & lets say its 2.5million people. That is that means At&T gives Comcast $1,625,000 for just having there channels. Now as for the Fox stations let's say its $1.65 per subscriber & let's say 2.7 million has the Fox Networks that is own by News Corp. At&T will pay $4,455,000 to News Corp to air the Fox stations. See when a contract is up they will do this no matter who you have At&T(DirecTv,U-Verse,DirecTv Now),Dish,Spectrum or whatever. At&T thinks they should pay pennies to carry the channels. While it does cost I hate when the bill goes up, but this not Viacom's fault your bill is so high. Blame At&T or who every have. Plus the Government they at fault too.
