So when our group can't golf because of wind and weather, we meet at one of the local watering holes to conquer the world's problems.

Today's discussion by one of the angry old farts, "these young whipper snappers" running for school board. He stated, and I'm sure he's not alone that these kids are still wet behind the ears and living in mommy's basement.

I told him I met one of them over the weekend and he was actually a very intelligent young man. Do I think they have the experience to run a school district? Not really but if our 25-40 year old crowd won't step up, maybe these youngsters will.

In city campaigns, we all talked about the lack of competitors in alderman races. I think only a few are up for re-election. One of our more negative thinking ( 18 handicap golfer) partners laughed because his alderman sent out a letter about how much he had done to fix streets in town. WHAT?

We better pray for good weather because politically, we only irritate each other and accomplish nothing but running up our bar tabs.
