The whole "you never served" thing came about because he used to call everyone cowards and it was pointed out to him that several of the people he was saying that to wear veterans who went overseas. That upset him so much he's been crying about it for a couple years. Even though he's of age, during Vietnam he was too busy getting high and drunk to serve. Now he whines about those who have.
