Im not a big GHWB fan, but when he said " Read my lips, no new taxes" he was talking to the Democrats in congress that wanted to (Wait for it) raise taxes. In typical GOP fashion George of course did cave. BTW mahz, even though for a Democrat he may have been one of the least pathetic, JFK was hardly a saint. He wouldnt survive in todays Democrat Party however because he wasnt a total lunatic. Its nice to see that one of the Topix geniuses has finally solved the Kennedy assassination though. And here i was thinking we would never learn the real truth. Ive heard all the conspiracy theories and actually think it was a man that i learned about on this very forum years back.
