I just read where there is a petition people are signing asking that the President declare Halloween the last Saturday in October from now, and forever. I know I always liked it when the kids got to trick or treat on a weekend much better than a weekday.
When I was a kid, the ultimate was when it fell on Friday. Two whole days of raking and organizing through all that candy was so fun.
I am just not sure about this. There are people saying no way, and others thinking it is a good idea. One of the comments was "keep it on a weekday where the brats have to go to school the next morning, lets me not give out so much candy".
Anymore with all the churches holding parties, we just don't seem to get the kids like in years past. Back in the day we would get at least two hundred kids, not anymore.
