One idiot in Las Vegas made the argument to ban bumpstocks. Bumpstocks were an unknown to 99% of people before that night. Obama gave the nod for their approval in his first term, but they were seen mostly as adult toys and novelty items. I wouldnt want one if they were free. They ruin gun barrels and actually make guns less accurate. Banning them is fine with me, but I dont see it having much of an affect. The crazed shooter in Vegas probably would have killed just as many people with or without the bumpstocks. He probably wouldnt have got off as many shots, but he may have been more accurate. We have background checks now and that should continue, but what is needed is mandatory sentencing on any and all violent gun crimes. Do what you want with those carrying a gun and or using a gun illegally, but of course that wont be enough for the ones wanting a total ban.
