this doesnt surprise me, the GC school district tried to slick us over with tax increases i believe at least two times. As ive probably said before, i used to be a screwl teacher in Alton back in the eighties. I couldnt stand the beauraucy and the rules and regulations. I told them to shove it, sometimes wish I hadnt. last year I heard a story that any teacher that had at least one year of teaching now could get a full pension. I had to pull my work van over, almost down to crying. My ship had came in, i was ready to stick my bisquit in some of that good ol taxpayer pension, and I would have,as I had three years of hard labor as a teacher. I called the pension board, the lady said yes its true, told er i was poor ol elroy, she went to check and came back with the report. I had cashed out my pension in 83, so there was no gravy. close but no well, you know cigar. it was well over a month before the tears stopped flowing, i had little windshield wipers installed on my eyeballs. im wore out nap time.
