I both knew it and believe it. The same thing has happened in the NFL with a wild card team winning it all. I understand expanding the playoffs, im just not a big fan of it. It does make the regular season a little more exciting, but I feel that to play in the World Series or the Super Bowl, you should at least have to win your division.
The Bombers got a boost picking up McCutchen, im sure hes an upgrade in right over Walker. If Judge returns and Sanchez gets untracked that team could be tough to stop. Boston seems to be in cruise control, but its not always easy to just flip a switch and turn it back on. Price and Sale now both being injured may stop them cold.
The Brewers made a lot of moves, but im not sure any of them will help very much. Gio Gonzalez has been very hittable this season, and I dont see him as much of a factor. Yellich has got to be considered for MVP. He hits, hits with power, runs very well, and plays solid defense. If the Brewers win a Wild card, I think he may get the nod. Carpenter may be the favorite if the Cardinals make it to playoffs. Baez has been a monster this year, he will have some say about this also.
