Tommy Pham wants more money and the Cardinals dont have to even deal with him until 4 more years, at which time Pham will be 34 and the team will move on. He had a nice season last year but it was his first and hes 30 years old. Dejong had much better leverage since he is just 24 years old. Thats why he got the deal and Pham didnt. Pham can be mad all he wants, like it or not, he doesnt have a leg to stand on. He has zero leverage. If he runs his mouth and gets off to a slow start, he may just wind up back in AAA. I can see why hes not happy with this, but the Cardinals arent breaking nay rules.
