It has been rumored that the city counsel is against Granite City getting a Rural King because they sell guns. If this is true it is a shame. Our city has been struggling to bring in businesses and restaurants for years. It is this type of thinking that is leading to the city's demise. We need some positive news for a change and the city counsel needs to get on board with the revitalization of the city. Stop standing in the way and let progress begin. The old Kmart would be a great location for it! Thete are way too many vacant buildings in the city. There is no reason Granite City should continue to be an eyesore. The residents want progress and it is the city counsel's job to make it happen.
