I didn't like Obama. I thought, and have said it numerous time, I felt he was weak. Very well presented. Very slick with a wife who carried herself well. However, in my opinion, he set us back years in how our enemies look at us.
Very well stated (the entire post, not just this quote.)
But you even had pleasantries for Michelle Obama this time.
I am probably no more guilty of what Obama's naysayers were doing early in his presidency .... and many all through his presidency.
The economy recovered and expanded over the period of his presidency. Some will credit him, others will say that nothing good that ever happened in his presidency can be attributed to him.
If I'm not careful -- you are right, I could be just as down on Trump.
He has 3 years one month and twenty-two days until he leaves office.
The things I DID LIKE about Trump were low hanging fruit that the Democrats could have picked.
The Democrats have been hijacked by the far left and as a result, both people of faith, and even the blue-collar white folks left in droves.
The Democrats should have been favoring trade policy that benefits the American worker.
Trump did not run on Conservative policies entirely.....but went far right on social issues and full on David Duke on other issues....just enough to get the charlatan preachers to tell their congregation that he we anointed by Jesus Christ. Yes, the one who is the antithesis of all that Christ stood for --- is the anointed one....but these are the same people foolish enough to send an envelope to Kenneth Copeland - who needs money like I need another hole in my head.
It's going to be near impossible for me to be on the same page with him --- but if people feel that they're better off in 3 years 1 months and 22 days .... then they will vote to keep my greatest nightmare going another four years.
People say that I am a 'butthurt liberal' -- and they like to put people in boxes like that.
It is not sour grapes. The Bush Family carried themselves with class --- and even if Dubya stumbled at times, he was not overtly ignorant. While the economy faltered and he was behind the unjust war in Iraq --- he carried himself in a presidential manner. Bush's father was a true class act....
The Clintons aren't class acts -- but Bill would never put a group of Navajos in a room with a portrait of Indigenous killer in chief, Andrew Jackson and use slurs toward political enemies.
Trump carries himself poorly and he is supposed to be our head of state.
I will try to look out for the positive --- but I really do not think it's the Mainstream media destroying him --- he's destroying himself and doing most of it to him self.
That's all for now....thanks again for the great post.
