The sports writer Ortiz has it right. Look at the Cubs roster and look at the Cardinals and the Brewers. The talent inst really close. I think its a miracle those two teams stayed in it for as long as they did. I blame the front office or i would if i was a fan, Matheny didnt put this team together and he didnt play any games. If the Cardinals and Cubs managers had switched positions before the season started, guess what, the CUBS still win. When you have to over depend on the farm system to stay in the race, thats seriously playing with fire. I think any deal the Cardinals make they should try to put Matt Carpenter into the deal, he is on a straight down spiral. Hes horrible in the field, he runs the bases like a ten year old and his hitting has declined. Maybe someone will be fooled and still value him probably as a DH. I dont even think he fields good enough to be a DH. Keep Wong, nobody will take his salary anyway, and try also to dump Piscotty, another terrible contract. Yelich can be had, Ozuna could have been had last season, but St.Louis chose Fowler. Fowler did fine but Ozuna is better, younger and more valuable.
