They got Trumped? Just because the man-child in chief was twiddling his thumbs on his phone again?
I am troubled seeing teams stay in the locker room or take a knee or sit during the anthem. It's very disrespectful and free speech that I happen not to like.
I too would support a policy that must be followed...as employees of the NFL, you stand and respect the anthem.
However we must also not forget, there are countries where disrespect for a flag, for a national symbol, or for a national leader could get one severely punished or killed.
When we force respect for our symbols, we are just become more like the tyrants on the 'other side of the world' and another freedom is compromised or taken away altogether.
So I would rather tolerate speech that is different than my own --- realizing THAT is what our brave soldiers truly defended and that's truly what our flag stands for.
