Thank you for that introduction Wally.

So I have two questions, one more of a personal issue.

You wanted to block the layoffs of 25 people which would save over a million dollars. Noble effort to keep people working in these hard times and it's appreciated. In the same breath, you want the district to fix the broken pumps (not sure of the cost) So the basic question is, how do you keep spending money without any increase in revenue?

Mayor Pagano pointed out that the good old folks in Eville and Glen Carbon pay no fees to MESD. East St. Louis has not paid for years and God knows in this day and age we can't confront them.

I'll be interested in seeing your plan to finance all of this. You see, that's my biggest problem. It sounds like you are merely pandering to the voters out there without finding a reasonable solution.

The other, and I don't blame you if you don't want to answer, why did you take that position? Was it to "become the first woman to serve on that board"? Did you leave suddenly because the heat got turned up so quickly? You say your employment status changed? Is the board a full or even part time position?

Some say I am too critical of your efforts so I offer you a public apology if it seems that way. I like politicians who fight for causes like you do. I just never see some of you who fight for the cause find the solutions to fight for the cause.

At any rate, thank you for your service and God bless.
