A majority of reasonable people might say that this looks pretty underhanded and most likely not legal. The problem i see as a novice on Township politics is that nobody in a position to push the issue seems to want to. We just witnessed last year a federal level politician guilty of a thousand times worse slither away because the right people did not wish to push things. Is it sad and pathetic, of course it is, but does it go on all the time, yes. Some people cant get away with anything and others can do pretty much whatever they want. I dont see anything changing anytime soon, and damn sure not in Nameoki Township. To those that may have thought that many things that were broken were going to be fixed, well, you can forget that. The township government may run a little more smoothly now, with not as many questionable actions, but nothing is going to be fixed. Not now, not ever.
