IMO the Friday night lineup looked at least as intriguing than Saturdays, and the crowd should be smaller. I understand the thought process in bringing back the seventies and eighties groups, just as long as you understand that the original ban is NOT what you are getting. We hate to admit it, but those guys are too damn old now. Years back they had what is being called the Little River Band, but the lineup had not one original member, although Wayne Nelson was an early years bass player and singer. More often than not that is the case rolling out these blasts from the past. With 38 Special i believe they do have one original member in the cast but i was not a big fan of them anyway. If people want to relive the past and do some pretending i see nothing wrong with that, and the music is normally still pretty good. I do wonder at times though if the planners are getting enough bang for their bucks bringing in these recycled groups with naming rights.
Charlie Daniels was the exception as he seems ageless and his concert was pretty damn good and im not even a huge fan of that kind of music.
