Glad so many people came out to help. This problem is going to continue as those up the hill continue diverting more water this way.

When you add the additional flow from "up the hill" and couple it with the fact that most of GC and your village drain to Horseshoe Lake and then add the fact that the MESD doesn't operate the pump station when they should, count on flood waters every time we get three or four inches of water.

I drove over that little bridge in Pontoon today by Dollar General and was surprised the water wasn't any higher. That entire channel was full and if I know anything about drainage, it takes all the water from the subdivisions from Pontoon Road to McDonalds on 111. Once Horse that area reaches capacity, water isn't going anywhere until they drop the level of Horshoe Lake.

Face it folks, most of us here in Granite and the many of you in Pontoon Beach are second class citizens when it comes to the county board.

Again, so glad there are people who get out and help in a crisis. I bagged sand in 73 out on the levee and will never forget how many good people, young and old came out there.
