Well that was the current HWY commish responsibility letters not being addressed properly with full addresses on mailing and being "returned to sender" several times is probably closer to the facts why they were late and suspended
The mail wasn't picked up in a timely manner from the HWY Dept mail box sat in the office mail box many days another reason they probably were late
If you have worked in the office 4 years you know when bills are due- if there was issues with the front office messing with Hyw mail --which I don't believe happened BTW-- you would know that the insurance payments are due on ??? and follow up on where they are if you donít get them to pay I would make calls to the insurance co and start asking questions ďwhere the billĒ should be the first question
I understand that Mel was not in the office a lot the last several weeks not sure why
I called there about a week ago and she answered the phone from her home and said she had the phones at the office forwarded to her home
The fact remained that she wasn't there a lot of the time-- so that could be more of an answer why the bills were not being paid in a timely manner also
A spread sheet being turned in instead of invoices Ė the Treasurer needs invoices to pay bills not a list on a spread sheet with amounts to be paid I was at the meeting when the HWY Dept turned in a spread sheet instead of invoices to be paid and Charlie voted no because they were not turned in properly so yes he does vote no on fiscal matters

Just in case you didnít get the post I put it on GCG the general assistance fund was audited by CJSchlosser and co no fraud or issues found
I donít think elected officials should have benefits and Charlie will not take benefits either but the statement you made about office workers receiving health care benefits is allowed
I believe Tammy and Lauri are full time office workers and Mel donít receive benefits she is part time
I would not deny them benefits but I have spoken up at meetings many times that elected officials should not get benefits

OK lets talk about this one too Don may drive heavy equipment and dump gravel haul pavement and know some about road construction but his leadership skills are lacking on how to deal with employees
Tammy mowing grass at the lift station with a 20 inch mower when grass was 12-18 inches high and a tractor and brush hog was the proper way to do it where is his skills and leadership forcing her to do that job knowing it would be better with a tractor BTW wasting tax payers money also and would have ruined several lawn mowers that year with a 20 in mower more waste of tax dollars
If Tammy wasnít doing a good job thatís one thing write her up and do it right
BTW lets not forget the ladies room issues not letting her use the ladies room in the office area but wrote her up for doing so
Hey I understand there was a unisex bathroom in the HWY Dept that mostly men use but to pick an issue like to write her up is not showing leadership skills
In todays PC climate that was very foolish he should have been focused on her work instead of her bathroom habits
Look at the mess with the bills not being paid promptly on his watch
Charlie may have never drove a dump truck and donít need to either if he has a good formeman he that can trust do the job
Charlie may not be perfect but he advanced in his police work and retired as chief that says a lot in my opinion
Charlie has the abilty to manage money and budgets that was part of his job as police chief Charlies I believe has management, supervisor skills and overseeing employees something Don seems to lack just by his actions with Tammy and the latest issue with Ron for not having a sign supporting him in his front yard
Charlie I believe will do a better job he will immediately save us $120,000.00 by eliminating an extra job that money could be used to pay for a generator and pave Courtney DR
