And the fact that two of those complicit trustees were former law enforcement officers, including a former police chief and an upper level detective, is truly disgusting.
And, they not only want for you to vote for them again, but also want us voters to promote one of them in to a job he is not qualified for, to displace the well qualified, honest incumbent.
He also promises to be full time and add to his already lucrative pension and IMRF fund that comes out of our pockets from his last public position. I bet it will all add up to way more than that harassed but very good secretary earns....And I KNOW he wouldn't be crawling in to the cold, murkey water to clear the beaver dams in the drainage grates like Don did.
Just like at their former jobs, the question is who exactly were they protecting and serving then, and who are they protecting and serving now?
In my case, it certainly wasn't truth, justice, or the American way. It was pure harassment of good people.
That sort of abuse of power and dereliction of duties should not ever be elected, let alone re-elected. But, yes, even with all these revelations out here, they do have the gall to ask.
After all, they've been in line, kissing the right butts--in their established machine political party loaded with campaign funds, it's their turn.
