The Hanfelder/Beckland hearing for last Thursday was cancelled because the objected to missing page was found, so both of those candidates for assessor will be on the ballot.
We were told at the meeting last Monday that their findings on the other disputed matters would be reported at the next regular township meeting (tonight,7pm--be there!).
Of course, when the candidates and their cronies are the deciding committee on the followed rules, we can all be sure that some candidates will be ruled more equally than others....
I also know that concerned calls and messages to the States Attorney's office are going unacknowledged. Perhaps a large reason for our local political antics is that there is no accountability. No one ranked above even cares to look, and the press is apparently not interested, either.
And the BS continues--election after election, after election.....
