    So What Happened? Archived Message

I haven't seen the total breakdown of voting but here's my take on how we elected Mr.Trump.

The basket of deplorable people went and voted because they were offended at being branded because of their views.

If you doubted President Obama, you were a racist.

If you questioned gay marriage, you were automatically branded an LGBT basher.

If you used the words Islamic terrorist, you were automatically a hater of Mulslims.

If you didn't want illegals to come here without proper verification, you thought all Mexicans were rapists and thieves.

If you believed a woman's control of her body should start when she laid down with a man, you were anti-women's rights.

Well Hillary and party, you angered the wrong people and they came out loud and strong.

You assumed that the Bernie supporters would come to you in droves. Didn't happen. Bernie supporters didn't love the democratic party. They loved the idea of free college, free insurance etc... They didn't show up.

You tried to scare the Hispanics away from Trump by telling them he was going to ship them all away even though you know that was as improbable as Hillary taking guns away.

You tried to sympathize with the black community as you always do (once every election cycle) They know after years of this that you're not helping so as Donald said, "why not take a chance". The black community has learned that they need jobs and fair working conditions more than they need loud mouth, pandering politicians.

You assumed all women would be offended by locker room talk and while many were and had the right to be, most knew it for what it was. They needed jobs, family income and to know their children were safe more than they needed protection from Trump grabbing them.

When you tell a large group of folks that they are deplorable you are as guilty of bias and prejudice as those you accuse of being.

Trump won this race because party politics is starting to die in our country. Kurt Prenzler and the GOP now run Madison County. My friend Nellie Hagnauer is turning over in his grave.

Nellie knew that a strong blue collar work force is what would keep the Democratic party on solid ground with the voters. The jobs left. The suits moved to Glen Carbon and Edwardsville and voted for the people who they knew would help them.

Trump destroyed Hillary in Madison County. What happened? Non-college educated people bit you on the back of your pant suit dear. Prenzler beat Dunstan because people are tired of the same old promises, promises and decided, "why not take a chance"?

I love hearing the crying today from Hillary supporters. You allowed yourself to believe the media and pollsters in thinking that Clinton had it wrapped up. "Oh I'm scared" "What will happen"? "My Hispanic friends fear they will be deported". Get over it. Trying to scare people into voting for you doesn't work any longer.

New game. New day. God bless the USA.
