Part of what you say is true. However, for families like mine who do not "doctor" much, the inflated insurance premiums are a pain in the butt. I spend almost $900 a month to keep my family insured.
The people you speak of still absorb a great deal of cost. Go to the emergency room on any given Saturday night. Know what you'll see? People using the emergency room for headaches, nausea, cold and flu symptoms. Some of them even ask for ambulance service. It's ridiculous. That drives cost up for all.
I would rather see clinics opened in cities that took care of those in need. I don't know if it would cost more or less but one thing is for sure. Obamacare isn't working. No one can say it is with any merit behind it.
To quote that hag Nancy Pelosi, "we need to pass this bill to find out what's in it". Well they did. Of course they were pandering to a demographic they needed for votes. Now we see the reality of inflated costs, companies pulling out of the insurance pools, small businesses closing doors and big businesses dodging the cost by reducing hours to people. Great plan!
When you ask (demand) that people cover the cost of people who just can't seem to get their lives in order, you set up a system to fail. The worker bees eventually get tired of servicing the queen and die off. Free phones, free insurance, free college. It's not free when someone pays for it.
I hope the system is overhauled or eliminated. Hillary has said she will overhaul. Trump said he will repeal and abolish. Let's hope whatever happens is better.
